Financial protection for clubs, players and athletes

Professional and amateur athletes can face significant financial exposures following an injury. These injuries can result in short term absence or, on occasions, prevent the player or athlete from participating in their occupation.

JLT Sport helps clubs and players insure against the financial loss by providing specific covers, including:

• Career Ending Injury - A policy to protect a club, agent or player against loss of future earnings through a career ending injury to the player.
• Accidental Death - protects a club as a result of a catastrophic accident. This covers accidental death only, on a 24 hour basis.
• Wageroll Protection - cover clubs against financial loss following injury to players on guaranteed contracts or for National Associations providing benefit to clubs should their players be injured whilst on international duty.
• Individual Income Protection - This form of cover protects individuals against loss of income should they be temporarily injured and are not covered under a guaranteed contract.
• Association Programmes - tailored accident programmes for National and International Governing Bodies and Associations. Cover, includes death, permanent total disablement, temporary total disablement, medical expenses, hospitalization benefit, physiotherapy benefit, convalescence benefit and much more.
