6th May 2011, London: JLT Corporate Recovery Risks (JLT) , the specialist provider of risk solutions for professional services firms and Wragge & Co LLP (Wragge & Co) the UK-headquartered international law firm, have brought together their expertise and understanding in the construction market to provide a cost neutral litigation solution, branded as 'InnovATE'.

Mike Johnson, Partner, Construction and Real Estate Division at JLT, says "Construction litigation and claims can be a costly and time consuming process that many are unwilling to pursue even if they have a good chance of success. By working with Wragge & Co we can provide clients with a complete solution. Wragge & Co can be appointed to provide legal services on a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) meaning that legal fees may not be payable if the case is unsuccessful. Combined with this, JLT can arrange After the Event (ATE) legal expenses insurance which will cover legal costs if the case loses and the premium is only payable once the case is concluded. Notwithstanding the recent Jackson decision ATE still provides a powerful tool in the legal department's armoury".

CFA and ATE together represent an innovative no or low cost solution for funding legal claims which should give construction companies and professionals complete peace of mind when it comes to litigation.
