JLT has a strong track record of insurance and reinsurance broking in Latin America and we recently announced our expansion in this region.

With offices in Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Mexico, together with exclusive representation in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador and Venezuela, JLT is well placed to deliver a high quality service to clients in the Latin American market.

Brazil

JLT Brazil was formed in 1989 and is headquartered in São Paulo with a branch operation in Rio de Janeiro. It currently employs around 90 staff and has three main business streams:

  • Major and medium corporate risks - property and casualty, construction services, oil and gas, marine and risk management
  • Group Benefits - Group health & life and dental
  • Group Services - affinity, marketing and e-commerce

Reinsurance

Orypaba operates in the Brazilian market as reinsurance representatives of the JLT Group in all classes with the exception of aviation and jewellers block. This relationship has been in existence for four years and currently employs around 14 people.

Colombia

JLT Colombia was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Bogotá, although it has six branch operations located across other main cities in Colombia. As well as insurance broking services, it provides specialist social security services and employs close to 200 staff in total.

Reinsurance

JLT Re Colombia has provided a high quality reinsurance broking service since 1977 in the Colombian Market. Headquartered in Bogotá, it employs 69 people and is ranked among the top brokers in the market.

Mexico

JLT Mexico is headquartered in Mexico City and provides reinsurance services in Mexico and Central America. It specializes in Aviation and in major corporate and government risks including Property, Casualty and Energy. It currently employs 55 people.

Peru

Mariategui JLT was founded in Lima, Peru in 1987 and it employs over 70 professionals. Areas of expertise include: Energy, Public Sector Insurance, Employee Benefits, Financial Lines and Group Insurance for Employees.

Reinsurance

Peru Reinsurance was founded as a reinsurance broker in 1989. It employs 8 professionals and its major areas of areas of expertise include energy, irrigation projects, political risks and liability.
