JLT Online Benefits Appointed to Provide Integrated

Online Pension and Benefits Solution for Working Links

 

6th July 2010, London: Working Links, (the employment and skills specialist), extended its relationship with JLT by appointing JLT Online Benefits to launch a new pension scheme alongside an improved Flexible Benefit offering, entitled "Total Reward", via Benpal, JLT's integrated benefits management system.

Working Links previously retained JLT to provide flexible benefit services, with the pension scheme being administered via a paper based-process and paper application to join. As part of enhancements to the Flexible Benefit package, which included an improved shopping vouchers product, buying holidays and Cycle2Work, it was felt having pensions as part of the overall offering was crucial. BenPal enables Working Links employees to apply for their pension and flexible benefits online via the same website.

With the prospect of auto-enrolment on the horizon representing potential significant cost increases, Working Links wanted to improve employees understanding of pensions and their importance within the Total Reward package.

Jason Cutler, Reward and Employee Relations Manager at Working Links said: "The enrolment is a simple 4 step approach, managing and choosing funds is straightforward and the back office administration is painless. Having the pension and benefits in one place ensures employees understand the true value of their benefits. Our new online pension solution has allowed our people to enrol, access and more importantly engage in their pension. The proof is in the numbers, the solution has almost doubled our membership. As an employer we are keen to promote the benefits of pensions as part of our Total Reward package, moving to an online system has clearly achieved this goal!"

The project was lead by Matthew Baker on behalf of JLT Online Benefits, who commented: "We were delighted to work closely with Working Links in promoting the new Pension and Benefits schemes both online and through a national face to face communication exercise at their roadshows and office locations. We received great feedback from employees who found the online process much simpler than the previous daunting paper forms."
