Caravan Park Owners

Extreme weather throughout summer 2007 created extreme difficulties for UK caravan park owners.

Member parks in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and across the Heart of England were severely flooded and over 1,200 holiday homes were written off.

A major flood can close a holiday home park down for an entire season, resulting in the loss of a year's turnover. Despite this, some 60% of park owners are not covered against business interruption, according to research by Compass, JLT's specialist caravan insurance facility.

Private Owners Insurance Schemes

Since the Financial Services Authority introduced statutory regulation to the general insurance industry JLT has provided three different choices enabling thousands of holiday parks to continue offering their own private owners insurance scheme:

• you sell and administer all insurance documentation direct to customers and may be fully involved during the sales and claims processes.

Compass Private Clients

• you sell insurance direct to customers and remain fully involved in the claims process
• we process all paperwork direct to park customers.

Compass Direct

• you have no administrative involvement and negotiate commission levels annually
• our service centre is available 7 days a week to support your customers.
