Light at the start of the Tunnel

A properly designed insurance programme can provide a viable risk transfer solution for tunnelling projects

Thursday 17th July 2008 at 6 Crutched Friars, London EC3N 2PH

Our seminar looked at the market for tunnelling today.  Delegates heard from Bill Grose of ARUP, a world leader in tunnelling engineering talking about modern developments in tunnelling technology that reduce the risks. Delegates also heard from insurer and claims experts on insuring tunnelling projects and dealing with claims.

Key conclusions from the seminar included:

  • A collaborative approach that works towards a collective set of goals, is key to the success of future tunnelling schemes.
  • Minimising tunnelling risk doesn't mean an increase in costs.
