JLT Celebrates Construction Wins
Contract wins in Singapore and Greece enhance global footprint and underline 20-year heritage and expertise
London, 14th August 2008 - Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT), the leading specialist broker and risk consultant, today announces a series of international construction contract wins that generate a combined build value of in excess of £7billion. The two major transportation projects, based in Singapore, and Greece, will take between five to ten years to complete and underline the increasing complexities associated with managing risk in all aspects of construction.
Land Transport Authority of Singapore
One of the most significant schemes in Singapore's construction history, JLT will work with the government's road and rail authority to insure and protect the 36km extension of its underground network. The project underlines JLT's longstanding relationship with the authority and will provide the country with an enhanced public transit system.
Apion Kleos
One of the largest public private partnerships (PPP) in Europe, the Greek road project will be provided with a comprehensive range of insurance advisory and placing services, in order to safeguard the network throughout its six and a half years construction. Additional services include earthquake protection cover, throughout the duration of the build.
