Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited is specialist insurance broker with distinctive risk consulting and alternative risk transfer capabilities. The majority of our 700 staff are based in our London head office, but we also have a number of other operations including the Middle East and Sweden.

Andrew Agnew

Andrew has been in the insurance industry for almost 30 years and has
experience in all areas of the Marine and Non Marine market. A founder
member of Agnew Higgins Pickering & Company Limited, the specialist Energy
Lloyd's Broker established by Jardine Lloyd Thompson in February 1998,
he served as the company's Chief Executive from it's inception. On the
1st January 2007 Agnew Higgins Pickering & Company Limited merged with
it's sister broking operation, JLT Risk Solutions Limited, to form Jardine
Lloyd Thompson Limited and Andrew is Chairman of this company.
Andrew started out in the insurance industry in 1979, when he joined the
Marine and Energy Division of C.T Bowring. In early 1982 he moved to Jenner
Fenton Slade where he later became Chief Executive of their Non Marine
Division before setting up Agnew Higgins Pickering & Company Limited.

Mark Drummond Brady

|
Mark Drummond-Brady joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson in 1987, having spent
four years as an officer in the British Army.
He began his career as a Political Risks specialist and built JLT’s Financial
Solutions operation, developing Credit and Alternative Risk Transfer business.
He took responsibility for Risk Finance in 2002 and Financial and Professional
Lines in 2004. In 2005 he created the combined Financial Risks Division,
incorporating Accident & Health and the new JLT Sport operation and then
in March 2006 he was appointed Chairman of JLT Risk Solutions Limited.
He has also led Corporate Development at JLT Risk Solutions Limited, presiding
over acquisition strategy and the establishment, management and development
of overseas offices and partnerships.
Following the formation of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited he assumed the
role of Deputy Chairman. As well as these responsibilities, he is International
Chairman of the JLT Group a role aimed at ensuring that JLT derives maximum
benefit from the co-ordination of all its international businesses, leveraging
areas of strength throughout the Group.
Mark has been responsible for a number of regulatory changes in the market
and is a frequent contributor to trade media and international conferences.
He has a Degree in History which he obtained at the University of Kent
in Canterbury.

Martin Hiller

|
Martin Hiller joined JLT in 1988. Previously MD of Risk Solutions,
he was appointed CEO of JLT Ltd. with effect from 01.01.07.
He was a founding member of the JLT Construction Team before taking responsibility
for the Construction Practice in 2001. He led the development of this
business in achieving its dominant position in the London Market.
In 2004 he led the Real Estate and Power initiatives and subsequently
assumed responsibility for the Marine and Energy Practices.
Martin’s initial career was in the Marine Market based in London and Cape
Town prior to undertaking UK and International Construction roles within
other London Brokers.

Kevin Lugg

Kevin is Chief Operating Officer of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited and
a specialist in Marine and Energy claims management. With more than 25
years in the insurance market Kevin's experience includes eight years
as an active member of the London Market Broker Committee Marine Claims
Sub-Committee (1995-2003).
He started his career with Glanvill Enthoven (becoming Jardine Insurance
Brokers in 1991) in 1979. He specialties include Marine (Hull, P&I, Associated
Liabilities, Loss of Hire) and Energy (Physical Damage, Loss of Production
Income and War losses). He, also, has handled major delayed delivery insurance
major claims in the London market as well as other major losses in other
insurance classes, including financial risks.
As well as responsibility for all operational issues (process and procedures,
systems and controls, HR, People development and compliance) and Claims,
he works very closely with the Marine Division where he provides account
management support and assists with the development of new business.

Andrew Colderwood

Andy Colderwood is Chief Financial Officer of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited
and Finance Director of Echelon Claims Consultants Limited. He has been
with the company in various accounting roles since 1978. For a number
of years Andy was Chief Accountant at Jardine Insurance Brokers International
Limited (JIBIL), before working overseas at JIBIL’s Portuguese branch
and subsequently with Jardine Australia. Since the formation of Jardine
Lloyd Thompson Group PLC in 1997 he has been a key member of the Finance
Team supporting JLT Risk Solutions Limited, Lloyd & Partners Limited and
JLT Re. Andy is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.

Richard Higgins

Richard was a founder member and Deputy Chairman and Production & Marketing
Director of Agnew Higgins Pickering & Company Limited, the specialist
Energy Lloyd's Broker established by Jardine Lloyd Thompson in February
1998. Prior to this Richard had enjoyed more than 20 years in the London
insurance market in broking, account management and senior management
positions.
His career begun in the Liability Department of Sedgwick Forbes in 1976.
In September 1980 he joined Jenner Fenton Slade handling and placing major
onshore and offshore accounts. He became a Director of Jenner Fenton Slade
in 1989 and was ultimately Managing Director of the Offshore Company.
On 1st January 2007 he became Director of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited
and Chairman of its specialist Natural Resources Division, JLT Agnew Higgins.

Richard Gurney
Claims, Divisional Managing Director

Richard Gurney is the Divisional Managing Director of the Claims Division. He has 18 years experience in the London insurance market, with substantial experience handling major Construction, Energy, Property and Casualty losses
He started his career with Allianz International in 1990 and was soon focusing increasingly on the specialist construction sector. In 1997 Richard took responsibility for this area gaining detailed knowledge of Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas, being appointed Manager for Construction and Energy before joining Jardine Lloyd Thompson in 2002
Richard graduated from Queen Mary College, London University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Geography in 1990, completing his Associateship of the Chartered Institute of Insurers in 1995. He is currently a member of the London Market Non-Marine Claims Sub-Committee.

Ron Hayes

Ron joined JLT in July 2007 to lead the divisional that manages the direct
relationships with our major corporate clients that fall outside our industry
focused divisions. This includes our
Life Science and Chemicals,
Communication and
Technology,
Risk
Consulting,
Property and
Casualty
practices.
Ron’s career started in 1983 when he joined the Casualty Department
at Bowring, progressing to become Director of their International &
Risk Management Division in 1992, with overall responsibility for the
Casualty Department. He has considerable experience handling Employer’s
Liability and Public/Products Liability insurance programmes for major
multinational corporations. This includes extensive involvement in the
domestic USA Liability insurance issues for UK based groups and the development
of alternative financing options in Liability insurance.
His career continued to develop with Bowring, who were eventually renamed
Marsh following restructures and acquisitions. Prior to joining JLT he
was Head of European Retail Placement, responsible for implementing placement
strategy and reviewing overall market trading relationships for all direct
European corporate business.

Nicholas Hedley

Nicholas Hedley is the Divisional Managing Director of Financial Risks,
within which Credit and Political Risk, Accident and Health, Sport and
Entertainment and Financial and Professional Risk operate. Nick joined
Lloyd Thompson Limited in 1995 prior to which he spent 10 years at AIG
and 5 years at Trade Indemnity Plc.

Paul Knowles

|
Paul Knowles is a Divisional Managing Director at Jardine Lloyd Thompson
Limited. He is a leading expert in providing risk and insurance advice
to major project finance transaction for both Construction and Operational
Risks, as well as traditional projects. Paul began his career at Sedgwick,
where he undertook a number of roles both in the UK and Eastern Europe,
before specialising in the Construction and Power Sector. Paul joined
JLT in 1996 as part of the new UK Private Finance Initiative team. During
his time with JLT Paul led its growth to become the largest team in the
UK market. Paul is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and
holds an MBA and BA (Hons) in Economics. He currently chairs the insurance
group for the PPP Forum and is involved in developing new risk and insurance
solutions to both Construction and Operational Project Finance transactions.

Angus Pearson

Angus started his Insurance career in 1979, joining C T Bowring in 1980.
In 1985 Angus joined Jenner Fenton Slade where he helped develop a large
heavily industrial and mining based Non Marine portfolio.
Angus is a founder member of Agnew Higgins Pickering & Company and has
played a key role in building the Non-Marine division, which he now leads.
On 1st January he was appointed Joint Divisional Managing Director of
JLT Agnew Higgins, the specialist Natural Resources Division of Jardine
Lloyd Thompson Limited.

Jeff Powell
Construction, Chairman |
|
Jeff is a construction insurance expert having worked in this specialist
sector for more than 25 years. He is has substantial knowledge of the
US market and the design and management of large international construction
project insurance, especially in the natural resources area.
Jeff started his career with Willis in the International Property and
Casualty business, before moving into the construction area. He then went
onto work in the Risk Management Department of RTZ, one of world's largest
mining companies, before moving to the construction division of Minet
Insurance Brokers. He joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson in 1995 as a senior
member of the construction team and has been a key figure in the development
of this major Jardine Lloyd Thompson industry practice.

Martin St Pierre

Martin St.Pierre is a Divisional Managing Director of Jardine Lloyd Thompson
Limited. He has more than twenty years’ experience of marine insurance,
having worked for JLT in both the London and New York markets, and with
experience across all lines of business including Hull and Ancillary Interests,
War-related Risks, P&I, Charterers' Liability, Loss of Hire, Trade Disruption,
Builders' Risks and Financial Risk exposures specifically associated with
and tailored for the Maritime Transportation industry. He is an Associate
of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a Chartered Insurance Broker and
a member of the Marine Executive of the London Market Insurance Brokers’
Committee (“LMBC”). JLT is a market leader in the field of Marine Transportation
specialising in all insurance requirements of ship owners, ship managers,
charterers, financiers and port & terminal operators.
